Who to sell to and how to pitch your business.
This workshop will look at how to identify your potential market and gather the information required to start selling a product and service effectively. We will then tackle the dreaded ‘Elevator Pitch’, helping you to speak about your business to others in a clear and succinct manner, which is essential to selling successfully.
David McGlashan is Sales and Marketing Officer for the School For Social Entrepreneurs. SSE is passionate about supporting social entrepreneurs to address issues they face in their own communities, which it does by providing practical learning programmes of personal and organisational development. David has previously worked in sales across a number of sectors, including an online startup company and a multinational recruitment business.
Ian Baker is Development Director at SSE, where he has worked for 7 years, fundraising for the London School, tutoring and working on strategy and policy. His background has been in business – 5 years as a market researcher and marketing consultant, and 5 years working for Cable & Wireless in their Marketing, Planning and Strategy Team.
